Knight Initiate Astrid Lenora Vanderminde
When Anise Xenakis lost control to the First Knife and was pulled back to Old Town by Predicus, he sent Astrid to join the party on their mission in her stead. She now travels with the party in Neldorland in search of information on Azreith and Torren.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Astrid is fairly fit, with a slight definition to her muscles from her training over the years. She tends to take immaculate care of her figure, so long as she is in a place that she can do so.
Body Features
Pale skin, a somewhat slender, toned body, slightly tall for a human.
Facial Features
A slightly angular face with stern set eyes that are betrayed by bright blue irises. Not as easy to spot are the slightly worry lines that warn of many furrowed eyebrows yet to come.
Identifying Characteristics
Most identifiable about Astrid is an almost glittering complexion to her skin and hair. Her eyes reflect light almost like pools of light. In general, she has a bright visage and almost seems to light up a room when she walks in. Until she talks, of course.
Special abilities
As a particularly divine person, she has many skills and spells, though her real strengths lie in her tenacity in battle, and the combination of the two abilities.

Astrid is typically wearing some sort of symbol of Meloria, though her apparel ranges from more noble attire, to something light for post-training relaxation.

Personal history
At her birth, Astrid was always different. Born to a family that survived the War of the Machines, she was driven to succeed and be a hero. While not always a born leader, she tries nonetheless to gain the approval of her parents and higher ups, and the respect and admiration of her peers. She was raised with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, often training with the Church of Meloria. So when it came time for her to pick her path, it was an easy choice to join the Church. She swore an oath to their cause and hasn't looked back since.

Has yet to accept how gay she is.
Education
Astrid had a not-so-typical education of a lesser noble. While she was required to read books and learn, a lot of her learning revolved around strategy and religious studies, and even that she struggled to learn much of since she favored the physical kind of education.
Employment
At a young age, Astrid was already training to be a Knight, so at the earliest age she could, she swore her oath to the Church of Meloria.
Intellectual Characteristics
Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but for what she lacks in knowledge, she makes up for with sheer determination.

Astrid has a slightly morphed sense of morality, where she believes that the innocent should be protected from injustices, but struggles to see those injustices practically and so can easily overlook things. She also has some prejudices that she doesn't even realise she has that may affect her judgement.
