One of two twins born to a half-orc father and half-elven mother. He and his brother, Vahruk, joined the Red Shoals of Sea's End in their own way at the age of fifteen, Ongar as quartermaster and headsmith while Vahruk took up the arms fashioned and maintained by Ongar.

Joined the Red Shoals at fifteen. Served as head smith following his father's retirement several years later until recently. His departure from Sea's End prompted his father to come out of retirement, in support of his sons' desire to guide the refugee wagon train westward.
