The Tarot

A shadowy syndicate in opposition to all government other than their own. Leadership is comprised of a myriad of figures from any number of backgrounds and races. Underbosses may be used for their resourcefulness and usefulness rather than the alignment of their ideals to those above them in rank.

Structure

A representative is assigned to each major city across Eldrin sharing the name of a card of the Major Arcana: The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement, The World.   Lower ranking members are led by officer-ranked individuals assigned the name of one of the sets of Minor Arcana denoting their specialization of skills: Wand, Sword, Cup, and Pentacle.

Public Agenda

Maintain independent wealth outside of the influence of the Empire.

History

The Tarot has existed since well before the beginning of the Age of Peace, maintaining the planar borders of Eldrin from all malevolent forces. No one knows who previous members are, owing to the fact that the organization does not keep records of recruitment.
