Tricklestone
"Now where in the Nine Hells is that entrance? I knew I shouldn't have bought that damned map. That merchant was so shady, he could prevent heat stroke. It says to take a left at the tree with golden leaves but there IS no left...just a sheer rock wall! Wait...what is that? Is that...an outline of a door?" - Byrantus Omiir
Government
The Circle of Stones is an elected body consisting of ten society members. Each official stands a period of five years. The initial Circle was elected in pairs at a rate of two per year, ensuring that there would not be stagnation by infusing new ideas on a regular basis and avoiding chaos by preventing the mass expiration of service periods and lengthy elections.

Defences
Though it isn't what one generally thinks of when considering types of defense, the concealment and subterranean nature of Tricklestone has made it night impenetrable.
Industry & Trade
Though there are no indications or confirmed reports of what industrial processes are at work in Tricklestone, what few goods make it out of Tricklestone seem to suggest that there is a healthy gem mining operation present.
History
Though Tricklestone has always been difficult to reach, it wasn't always so isolationist in stance. There was a time in which trade routes from Tricklestone were many and diplomatic relations were rarely on the decline. However, trade routes do nothing to allay the paranoia of Tricklestone's governing body, The Circle of Stones.
Tourism
Tricklestone is rumored to have ancient Dwarven and Gnomish architecture from before recorded history. This would likely be a source of a great deal of tourism if the inhabitants would allow visitors.
