He is infatuated with Surge, Rhorn's anchor weapon procured from a sahuagin warrior, and called it the key to the Treasury of Reezmar.
Elaz - Ul had tracked his family's heirloom, the Titan's Trident, to the Treasury of Reezmar, but now he needs a key.
In return for opening the treasury, he has agreed to be the guide for the party and rescued Zhorn from a sahuagin patrol who was threatening to sweep Zhorn away to the depths of the sea.
