Session 2.6

General Summary

Upon reaching the now Federation controlled logging town of Feyruit, after speaking with the guards Priestess Luna and Fannti realized that the checkpoint where Rhorn and Zhorn were currently waiting for them was fake and a possible trap. In response the two had thrown caution to the wind made haste to reunite with the rest of the party, but that in doing so made them susceptible to an ambush. As the horses tripped on some wire, the goods being carried were thrown over and scattered. From the forest emerged bandits wearing similar Federation attire to those in the checkpoint who commenced their attack. Despite not having any weapons the bandits made for some quick work, and continued to rush back to your allies.
Meanwhile, back at the checkpoint Rhorn and Zhorn traded stories with the platoon captain even deciding to accept the challenge of one of the guards for an arm wrestling contest. After a brief back and forth things were starting to go Rhorn's way when the Captain accused him of cheating and the platoon attacked. Both were easily able to fight them off, however a few escaped including the captain which drove Rhorn and Zhorn into a rage lead them to publicly hack the ones who were slain which was noticed by a passing cart.
Both groups rejoined, and decided to take what was left behind which included 10GP, crossbows, a few bolts, and short swords.
Once again arriving at Feyruit the stationed guards notified the party that there actually was a weapons tax of 5GP per weapon. Also there were multiple Federation supply carts which the group learned was being used for expansion of the town currently under Federation control. Fannti headed into the town center and traded in the fish Rhorn caught in exchange for a map of the area, and some additional cooking spices. While in the general store most of the tools had been either bought or provided to the Federation for the construction.
Not wanting to spend another moment in or around Feyruit, the party headed North into the outskirts of the Forest of Secrets to rest for the day. During this downtime, Fannti, Rhorn, and Zhorn noticed Priestess Luna having a nightmare where she seemed to experience deep visceral pain. Upon seeing her in such distress the rest of the group woke to a screaming Priestess Luna and notice that her eyes flared a deep red red color, before finally waking up.
