YP - The Book of Woe

The Book of Woe is an ancient black tome of immense magical power.
It has an obsidian black covering made of a durable material, and on the cover is a depiction of 3 concentric circles and a star that bisects each of the circles. Around the cover is a written language written in a hybrid Primordial language.
There is a small locking mechanism on the middle of the right sided cover. However, there is no accompanying key when it was discovered.
It was discovered in a secret subterranean chamber under the ruins of a temple.
