Coin is a universal sign of wealth in any form. If you have a lot of it, you are considered wealthy, the less you have, the poorer you are assumed to be. But wealth can be measured in many ways, and though gold is the standard, an Iron Favor can carry an unprecedented amount of weight behind it to those who know what they are looking at.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

An Iron Favor appears to be an eight sided coin with a raised edge and fine etchings on each face. No one coin is the same to another, the faces of each etched to depict a variety of scenes as well as figures and actions, with seemingly little to connect them. They are a solid piece of forged iron with little else to show for it, even discarded on the side of the road, most would not think twice over it, or perhaps would keep it as a trinket or keepsake.

Manufacturing process

Judging by the shape, it is assumed that the Iron Favor is manufactured using some sort of a press, but no one Favor is alike, leading theorists to discuss their being a smith responsible for their manufacturing, then etching.

Significance

An Iron Favor is an eight-sided Iron coin that seems to carry no monetary value anywhere in the world, though they have been seen in limited to almost forgettable circumstances. The common folk do not pay much attention to them, nor to the nobility, seeing little value else than a finely worked and designed piece of art, but to those who know of the Iron Favor and it's meaning, it is worth as much as a crown. The Iron Favor belongs to few and fewer still know it's value. It is, however, a key item used by the elusive Unseen Assembly, a shadowy organization, whose true motives are as unknown as their ranks or locations. Those under the Assembly's preview sees the Favor as not only a token of Membership, but also something of a badge of privilege, that awards the carrier certain perks.It can be understood that the Unseen Assembly's agents have a wide expanse of resources to draw on in their work wherever they might be in the world. Any Inn that would recognize the Iron Favor would grant asylum to the one who carries it, without question. Trade shops would discount, if not give freely arms and armaments to the one who carries the favor. A spy or contact would be obligated to divulge information to those who were recognized to carry the Favor. A wealth of other assets exist in favor of the Iron Favor, but only those who carry them, or the Assembly itself know just how widespread it's influence is.

It is more likely than not that the common man will ever come into contact with an Iron Favor in their life. They are not a well dispersed form of currency, they appear to actually not be in any country's economic circulation at all. Though, they have been spotted at the rarest of times, a blink and you'll miss it moment at such places as Inns, or trade shops of a kind.
