Yte Dam

In order to prevent the pollution of the Aeintari Wilds from breaching into Draconia, the Brass Dragon Yte stood watch over the Heartland River, along the treeline of the wilds. Whether it was due to hubris or simple ravenous hunger, the Black Dragon, Tyrsirox dared to break out from the Wilds and bring down Yte. Their battle was short, as Yte caught Tyrsirox by the throat, carried him high into the sky and breaking his wings before hurling him down to the river below, the impact snapping the dragon's neck, killing it.

Purpose / Function

The Yte Dam serves as a barrier between the Aeintari Wilds and the Heartland of Draconia to prevent the encroaching sickening from the wilds from entering the water supply. Thanks to the bones of the Black Dragon used to construct the damn itself, it has a naturally occuring filtration system that actually assists in purifying the waters flowing from the Heartland into the Wilds.

Architecture

The Yte Dam was constructed out of the bones of the slain Black Dragon Tyrsirox. The bones providing the framework as the rest of it's scales being used to reinforce the stones laid to build out the width of the structure itself. Thanks to the bone framework, the structure itself has a curved look to it, the talons, teeth, and skull have been set as decoration along the parapets.
