4-6-24 Gone Fishing
General Summary
Aeon's Avendgers, interested in hearing what Irnas has to say about what "Rebirth Stones" are agreed to hit the seas and bring him back fresh fish in exchange for information. The group gathered at a local charter shack Frozen Chunma Charters and spoke with a man there who loaned them a kneelboat and supplied it with a chatty crewman for 37 GP.
Funda, a 3'8" dwarf with flowing black curly hair took the group out to the open ocean to fish. He was rather surprised to discover that they hadn't brought fishing supplies and he was able to procure them an old net and an old pole that had been left on the boat. Flimp found a decent pole in the bag of hoarding, and Chronos made an improvised tool.
During their ventures, Chronos did not have much luck with their inprovised tool, despite baiting it with some berry tart. Irabella was able to catch a decent sized char and a 2ft monkfish using the crappy pole that Funda found on the boat. Flimp also had some luck and caught a 4ft monkfish.
Freya decided instead of trying to fish with an improvised pole she would dive. Having cast "underwater breathing" on themselves and Chronos she dove under looking to catch something interesting. Noticing a shimmer in the water Freya first found some small abandoned ring that turned out to be a ring of water walking. Then later as she walked across the water startled a local walrus who lashed out against the party.
The party took several good hits against the walrus and Irabella was able to put it to sleep allowing Flimp to slaughter it with little effort. The group harvested the Ivory tusks and carved the walrus into 10 large pieces and shoved it in their bag of hoarding.
Using some of the walrus blubble and blood Freya cast the net out trying to catch something that would come for the blood and the party was noticed by a shell shark. The shark swam up quickly and was able to injur Freya quite a bit, but Chronos eventually leapt into the water and slaughtered it. Funda explained to them that the shells on a shell shark were often used to create fine tools by craftsmen and was an excellent catch.
After escaping the shell shark the group climbed back aboard the kneel boat to rest and recover some.
During their time on the kneel boat, Funda learned that Flimp has stolen a scroll of teleportation from Irnas of the Anchored Pillar, has witnessed Freya (going by Davina) resserrect a tiny skeleton from her bag, and listened to discussions about a "bag of hoarding."
