Lothriel (Loth·REE·el)

Lothriel (Loth·REE·el) is the kingdom of the wood elves located in the Lothlór forest.

Demographics

Lothriel is strictly home to the wood elves. Others may pass through and visit, but the only true residents of the realm are that of natural origin.

Government

Thondaer and Lyanda Tolthúr are the king and queen of the Lothriel. Thondaer handles much of the relations occurring outside of the kingdom, although nowadays that remains very little with wood elf isolationism. Within the elven forest of Lothlór, queen Lyanda is very much respected and viewed as a total equal to Thondaer.

Defences

Magic and deception surrounds the forest. The wood elves of Lothriel are magnificent archers and their rangers keep the woods secure from outside forces. This was evidently clear during the Sylvan Rebellion of the Fifth Age. In the Feywild portion of the city, the Hanging Gardens of Ikaryn act as a way of defense and interrogation.

Assets

The city exists in a simultaneous state of being; both in Elloría and the Feywild. Whereas certain portals to the Feywild exist, this city has dominion over both realms, thus providing it particular advantages and mysteries to the remainder of Elloría.
The Pink Sage is assigned to Lothriel; the current sage is Cylia Kirenenor.

History

The actual age of the forest city is unknown since it predates most of the ancient cities of the realm. Since its victory during the Great Resistance, or known elsewhere as the Sylvan Rebellion, Lothriel has remained very isolationist ever since.
The wood elves of Lothlór have always have a close connection to the Lúminai, Illendíl. In doing so, the city of Illendíl has had great significance to them for religious purposes. Since the closed door policy of Lothriel, it has made any kinds of pilgrimage to His City rather difficult...

Tourism

With the kingdom remaining mostly closed to the outside world, tourism is quite limited. There are exceptions for certain people to enter for limited trade and exports. Lothriel still has representation at the Ellorían Senate in Illendíl, so their wood elves leave the lands occasionally.

Architecture

Similar to their racial cousins, the wood elves architecture is similar in many ways to that of the high and snow elves. Lots of pointed roofs and decorative metalwork demonstrate the craftsmanship of the elves. The thing that separates them is their attachment to the trees around them. Many of the buildings are either built in or around the trees.

Geography

The kingdom is built and surrounded in the Lothlór forest. It's geography plays a major role in the peoples identity. Nature will forever be intertwined within their culure.
