Soul Saber

The Soul Saber is the weapon of a Kova Vanguard. It is seemingly a sword handle that they summon a focus of divine light.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Not just anyone can summon the blade while wielding a Soul Saber. The actual blade derives from the focus of a soul. The wielder needs to properly channel this in order to summon the blade to its fullest capabilities. This is also what provides the variety of sounds the blade can produce amongst users.

Many of the blades have unique engravings, insignias, and even colors.

Manufacturing process

As a right of passage, each Kova builds their own Soul Saber. Since the item is essentially used as a focus, it is important for the wielder to have total control over the blade. This is typically done in Illendíl with the pupil's master.

Significance

The weapon's historical significance revolves strongly around the founding trinity of the Vanguard: Ulric Onasi, Velebor, and Kaneg.
