Kova Vanguard
The Kova Vanguard is a religious order of wizardly knights tasked with the protection and order of the land. They are an ancient and wise order who assist in the ruling and policing of Elloría. The Kova Temple is located in Illendíl.
Structure
The order is led through its council of wise Oracles. Those who are elected to the council look over the order and assignments that present themselves to the Vanguard.
Culture
From an outside perspective, the order can come across very exclusive and righteous. Those who see a member of the Vanguard often take notice since it is not an every-day occasion- especially to those living outside of Illendíl.
Those inside the order often take their position rather seriously and with respect. Not just anyone can walk in and train to join amongst their ranks. Its a disciplined lifestyle that only the greatest have lived up to.
Once it is determined that they are ready to dive further into the endeavor, students are assigned a master who they will apprentice until they are promoted into the ranks of the order.

The Kova protect Elloría from any evil forces that may threaten the existence of the realm.

Since the order has great influence over Illendíl, the Vanguard is never short on supplies of all sorts.
Divine Origins
During the tyrant king Severn's rule, the kingdoms of Elloría began to feel his oppression reach across the lands. One day, a human, elf, and dwarf found themselves at a small waterfall passage in a forest. These men were Ulric Onasi, Velebor, and Kaneg. Somehow, each of them found themselves in the woods at that very moment. They all spoke up and realized each of them had a vision from Kova the night before, telling them to go to that site. It was as though destiny had brought the three together. Instead of simply brushing off the encounter as some odd happenstance, they all camped there for the night.
During that night, they all had another vision from Kova. He told them that if they were to succeed in liberating the lord's kingdom, a new servant would appear within their ranks. This vision will go on to the become what the Kova Vanguard refer to as, The Prophecy.
Even with the strength of Kova, the three of them could not take on an entire kingdom. In prophetic fashion, they agree to separate and go across the lands spreading his message and recruit for what would be the retaking of Illendíl. After successfully doing so, they agreed to meet up outside the city on the evening of November 1.
The night before the reclamation, the three were once again given a vision by Kova. This time, they were shown a bright light on a hill. The next morning, they went to the tallest hill outside Illendíl. There they each found the hilt of a sword that appeared to be missing its blade. Unsure of what it could possibly mean, they picked up the blades and almost instantly, a blade of shear light projected itself straight from the hilt. It would be this weapon that would aid them in their liberation and serve as a staple point for the Vanguard for years to come.

Ethics
The Kova Vanguard represent a truly positive force in Elloría. However, since people are sovereign, individual ethics regarding the order can vary. The Code of Kova is well known amongst its members, but its interpretations and limitations has led to many disagreements.
Priesthood
The head figures amongst the Vanguard are the Oracles. This group was first formed amongst the original three: Ulric Onasi, Velebor, and Kaneg. Since then, members have been limitedly selected and decided based on a variety of requirements depending on the current council of Oracles. Once on the council, they often take the backseat to the physicals endeavors of the realm and worry more about the bureaucracy of Elloría.
Granted Divine Powers
Members of the order have most famously practiced powers surrounding that of force. The higher, more accomplished members of the order also carry a brightblade.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Since its inception, the Vanguard has had a political impact in Elloría. Starting off, the order rid the lands of a tyrant king who oppressed the people of his kingdom. In the centuries since then, the Vanguard's influence has become more apparent with the formation of the Republic and the way in which the Oracles conduct themselves.
