Sildar Hallwinter

A former member of the griffon cavalry of Waterdeep, Sildar has since retired to Neverwinter. A kind-hearted, middle-aged human, Sildar is a member of the Lords' Alliance and offered to accompany Gundren Rockseeker to Phandalin.

Sildar had been sent to investigate the disappearance of a fellow alliance member, named Iarno Albrek, who was last seen in Phandalin. Since his arrival, he has dismissed the prior townmaster, and learned that Iarno had actually assumed control of a group of local thugs known as the Redbrands using the name 'Glasstaff.' No one has seen or heard from Iarno since his ruse was uncovered, but he was last seen heading north-northeast outside of Phandalin.

Sildar has taken the role of Phandalin's Townmaster, and hopes to help restore Phandalin to its former glory, but for now, his attentions are on finding Gundren and bringing Iarno to justice.
