Eliza Puffins
Resident of Aquitaine and one of the unofficial city leaders, Eliza is a halfling cook of some renown ( “she cooked for three different triumverate peoples up in them dwarven lands, y’know. And dwarves, you know how picky they get over their food!” )
She is a close personal friend of the mayor, Kendra Deverin, and also very good friends with Ameiko Kaijitsu.
Eliza is a no-nonsense lady but generally approaches life in a friendly manner. She’s doesn’t tolerate sticky fingers and runs her shop with the efficiency of top of the line bosun / quartermaster of a ship of the line.
Eliza has a family heirloom passed down from her great-grandmother, a necklace of cavansite stones (cavansite is believed to be petrified shell from some kind of dragon), that serves as her good luck charm. She normally keeps the necklace in the main oven, where it absorbs the heat and dissipates it evenly, giving her better baking conditions than use of a regular quarry tile or terracotta tile, which is what most people use for baking stones. The necklace is not a guarded secret, but it is a topic very seldom discussed.
