True Grit Opening Credits
Opening Credits: True Grit
Definitely not the voice of Barry Campbell:
As the sun sets behind Oatman Canyon at the end of Grolm 8th, the Snafu Posse see a green pointy flash of light for just a couple of seconds. It could be a good omen from Rhea Lightgiver!
It could be an ominous portent as the plant-mutating villain prepares for another night of tyranny.
Darkness trickles down from the sky
as our heroes ride down the last sloping hill
westward into Purgatory Gulch.
Their purpose: to acquire supplies (and maybe some fresh horses) quickly.

Chef's big kettle of stew, set up yesterday in the middle of Main Street atop a bonfire, is still a-going.
Every once in a while some passing ranch hand or farm hand stops by for a minute. They might give it a good stir, add a bucket of water in passing, toss a couple dried "prairie coals" onto the fire, or slop a ladleful into the bucket. Chef sniffs one time and is immediately outraged: his stew has been RUINED. Watered down by amateurs! And some idiot thinks "add pepper" is the right way to make every change in seasoning.
Three stacks of fresh adobe bricks cover the doorway and two windows at the Purgatory Gulch General Store from sidewalk level to balcony level. They are still soft. They are going to need 3 to 4 days to dry, especially given that they are sheltered from direct sun. Looks like the balcony door on the 2nd story is just how it was left, though.
Similar efforts were made at the Purgatory Schoolhouse to cover the windows on east and west walls, many of which got broken in the Hell Woolies raid. The bricks in this case have been slapped onto the shutters, some of which got reattached crookedly, some of which dangle at a twisted angle.
Last I heard, once the Snafu Posse bundles up some high-citrus supplies and sends Wrong Way off, it's time to split up and work quickly.
They plan to send Wrong Way back to Yiara the Naiad of Arjory Pond, carrying citrus-laden supplies for the three stricken caravan members. They need to keep moving at an efficient pace if they are going to reach a promising location and set up a fiend-trap before midnight!
Bruthazmus aims to negotiate with Padre Cirino De Mario. Bruthazmus wants Holy Honey for the fight against a Fiend. "It'll stick and burn," he says as he dismounts.
Miro Teague launches himself toward the Purgatory Saloon. He wants some high-octane liquor, still in bottles, for future firebombing use against the Fiend. He would not mind getting outside of a meal or two while he is at it, but the important items on his To-Do list are 1) Ammo and 2) a quiet hour to work on his new Oatman Hat.
Jesse Devonshire has a specific agenda for his Giant Bee. Wrong Way extends that plan forward into an entire night of epic buffet-style activities up at Arjory Pond.
That still leaves the monk Lee Chung and the ranger Zhang Sephia to wrangle the Two Mollies, one Dagnabbit, and the rented Horse With No Name. And supply up for a fight against the sinister supernatural.
There's about an hour before everyone expects to meet up again --
-- ready to ride northwest --
-- into unknown hilly turf --
-- in the dark.
