Session 15: The Next Step

General Summary

The party are due to be leaving for Hedgefort
When they awake, they see that 300g has been stolen from them
They realise it was done by The Bull's boss: The Bull being a drug dealer that the party murdered during the murder investigation
The party noticed that Lila was looking worse after she coughed up blood in front of them, so the party decided that they should go get her healed and then return here to get their money back.
When Prick joins them for breakfast he shows off that he is able to cast 'light'. Ander encourages him even though he is against magic
The party was attacked by man-eating lizard people on their journey to Brightcrest. Dimitri was nearly taken away
Upon arriving they take Prick and Lila to a temple.
They were informed it would cost 950g for Lila's treatment and 550g for Prick's
The party pay for Lila's treatment straight up as it will take a few days for her to heal fully
During their visit a woman kept looking at Pothos
Upon leaving the temple the woman ran after them, explaining that she believes that Pothos might be Althea
The woman, Bonnie, said that her twin sister Keyah was a Dreamer of the church of Slaine
Keyah explains that she has dreamt of Pothos a number of times, and believes Pothos to be the one they've named 'Althea' - a woman destined to be a renown healer
She asks her and the party to attend a religious gala
they purchase fancy clothes
They look at the town 'help' boards and take jobs to clear oozes out of the sewers and a bandit camp on the edge of town
At the gala the party decide to get autographs of important religious figures for Raymond
The party see Ander's father at the gala. Instead of interacting Ander spots Jammy and helps him in the theft of some things from the gala
It is here the party learn of Jammy's ultimate stealing technique: two jackets
Lucan is also at the gala
Pothos is asked to do a speech as Althea. She does an interpretive dance. People are impressed
Lucan and Ander dance. Ander vaguely humiliates himself since Lucan is a better dancer and Ander fails to 'hold person' him
The next morning the party go to the temple with Prick, where they are informed they've run out of an ingredient, but if they go and get it the price of fixing Prick's arm can be lowered.
They headed out to the clearing they were told to go to, where the biggest man they had ever seen was cutting trees with a sword.
The man, announcing himself as Bearface, demands that largest person in the party duel him
That leaves it to Ander
Bearface's dragonborn companion Steve puts Prick, Dimitri and Pothos behind a magic wall
Ander and Bearface duel. It seems like it would be close but Bearface quickly manages to push Ander to the ground
Steve called to let Ander go, as it looked like Bearface was going to kill him. Bearface was about to get off Ander when Ander raged, setting off his magic chest lasers that hit Bearface.
He retaliated by cutting straight through Ander's arm: right below the shoulder.
Steve hurried Bearface off and took down the magic wall
The party grab the water they needed and run as quickly as possible back to the temple
They don't have enough money to fix both Prick and Ander's arm
Pothos and Dimitri wanted Ander to get his fixed, but Ander took the money and paid for Prick to get his arm back instead
