Session 38: Into The Mists

General Summary

• Bonnie saved Ava from the darkness
• Dimitri relives the memory where he tortured a man as initiation into the gang. He cuts his face then cuts a finger off.
• The party cut to watching three children wander into a mushroom circle.
• The party go to a colourful city where people are running from something
• They see that it is Dimitri.
• They try to confront him but he tells them to go to base
• They realise that Bonnie is missing
• They run into a creature calling themselves The Guide, who explains they are in a demi-plane of T'Zarith, called Mementos.
• Mementos is ruled by Imitar. She plucks memories from an individual in order to make them a little realm where she can drive them mad before consuming their memories for herself.
• She then creates an alternate version of that person who they must defeat in order to escape. The Guide says no one has succeeded so far.
• Cut to D!Dimitri telling the party they should track her sister.
• They scry on Anastasia who is with Sasha. They look fine.
• Dimitri Memory 1: He and his siblings are playing in the fey wild. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. He shoots Tear again. FAKE
• Dimitri Memory 2: He is tucked into bed by his mother. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. His mother tells him he has cursed blood and she never should have had him. FAKE
• Dimitri Memory 3: He is in an office. His father is insulting his brother. Dimitri succeeds his Wisdom save. Dimitri stands up for Pavel. FAKE
• Sasha Memory 1: Sasha kisses Dimitri's mother.
• Shade Dimitri wants the party to find his sister and give her a swift death.
• Ander confronts Dimitri about being a bad brother.
• The party fight a swarm of giant scorpions
• Dimitri memory 4: Dimitri and Anastasia are having a midnight feast. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. Dimitri is sent back to his room and Anastasia is dragged out by the hair. REAL
• Dimitri memory 5: Sasha is teaching Dimitri to shoot. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. Dimitri fails and Sasha criticises him harshly. FAKE
• Dimitri memory 6: Dimitri is running away from the gang after the torture. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. Sasha catches up to him and cuts his eye out. FAKE
• Sasha memory 2: Sasha witnesses Arik harshly criticise Pavel and hit him across the face.
• Shade Dimitri wants them to knock Anastasia out and bring her back.
• Dimitri torture memory again. This time a young Bonnie is in the chair.
• Dimitri memory 7: Dimitri is searching for Miya Nethersworn with Bronwyn. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. He shoots her while searching. FAKE
• Dimitri memory 8: Dimitri is on watch. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. His throat is slit by Pavel. REAL
• We see the torture again. This time Pothos is in the chair
• Dimitri memory 9: Dimitri is watching fireworks. Dimitri fails his Wisdom save. Anastasia turns into Pavel and runs. REAL.
• Sasha memory 3: Sasha is tortured to find out where Dimitri is.
• Torture memory again. This time Ander is in the chair. Dimitri takes off a hand instead of a finger.
• Shade Dimitri wants a jar delivered to Anastasia.
• Ander forces Dimitri to apologise for all the torture.
• The part fight The Lost.
• The party see Dimitri's torture memory again.
