The Blade Peaks

Geography

The Blade Peaks are a 245 mile mountain range along the north eastern tip of the Northern Wilds. It begins right at the border of Breakwater Port, half of its eastern edge facing the sea side and reaches up to the barren lands beyond it. The range is nothing but sheer mountainsides with sharp jags from foothills to peaks hence its obvious namesake. These features make venturing up into the Peaks nearly impossible; there is only one known path up, a three days' travel from Breakwater Port. It's not known how high up this path goes into the mountains as the trail is known to be treacherous and many an explorer has fallen to their death with a single misstep. Rumours swirl of a goblin clan making their home somewhere in the Peaks, but no one has ever dared to confirm it.

Fauna & Flora

Nothing significant grows on the Peaks. Its sheer and jagged sides make vegetation nearly impossible. Raptors like eagles and hawks find it favourable as they can nest near and at the peaks but they must fly down and away to find game to hunt.
