Diond Theatre
Figures run to take their place and move props on the darkened stage. As magical light begins to dance its way through the massive audience, coalescing around a single figure center stage. Their voice was positively jaw dropping, as usual from the members of the Diondias. The rest of the show was exquisite, featuring music, acrobatics, and of course, drama!
Make them Feel Something
The Diond Theatre was established partway through the reign of the first Queen. The Kaalier had a deep desire to tell stories, providing joy and respite to all that would listen. The Queen gave them a modest sum to help start their venture, thus the Diond Theatre was born. It has since become the premiere theatre in Elturia. With the success of the events they have put on or hosted, the Kaalier have been able to fund their academy to help provide a well rounded education to the people. With an emphasis on stories, of course.Take to the Stage
Throughout the season, the Diond Theatre hosts a number of budget "student" shows. While these can be hit or miss in quality, they are the perfect proving ground for students of the academy that are interested in the drammatic or musical arts, which, let's be honest, is most. It also provides families and patrons to see where their hard earned money has been going.Make them laugh, make them cry, make them feel something. How do you expect the audience to feel anything if you don't feel it yourself a hundred fold?
Building Community
Diond Theatre has a way of bringing the people of Aldhon together. The send groups out into the city to provide street performances. There is a open night, where any member of the community can come present their creative pursuits. Additionally, several times a month members of the theatre will spend time in the lower districts providing performances so that they might feel the same joy.
