Panquetzaliztli (Pan-kwet-zal-iz-li)

The day of triumph of the sun over the moon for The Hueachto. It is the festival that celebrates Yila specifically, and though it is a great day of celebration, it can also be a tumultuous time for Yana Inti as Yila is a war god, and duels both intended and improvised are held in their name.
The duels that are planned are often in order to name Yila's champion, who will hold the title for the coming year, until they are bested in another combat or willingly step down to name their successor. The official title for this champion is the Hero of the Hummingbirds and Champion of the Sun, and they are known as ferocious fighters by all the Qari.
Famous Champions include:
Xochitl Lothern, a dwarven barbarian
Qillie Riverrun, a halfling fighter, extremely skilled with her scimitars.
Axaya Pachari, human monk.
The festival is also when the huge Ulama tournament is played, and many teams from across Yana Inti train for years to get to compete.
