Cyrene Secedes from Echaea

Founding

Only a decade into the Hyperios Syllogi, the city of Cyrene chose to secede from the newly formed kingdom. Most of the established realms sent representatives to sign a treaty that states that if any of the realms attacks Cyrene, they are required to send their forces to defend it.
  Cyrene houses the largest collection of knowledge in Elyria, supposedly every published book in Elyria has a copy in the Grand Athenaion. Most of the world's greatest intellectuals also try to come here to study.
