Jull

Physical Description

Jull are short and stocky amphibians with a shark-like head and spiny, collapsible fins along their arms and back. The spines on these fins are venomous.

Natural Weapons

Envenomed Stinger: Jull's have a retractable stinger that can come out of their wrist, nearly the length of their forarm. The stinger has a venom sack which can release Jull Venom. This stinger is abnormally large and does not use the normal damage and reach for a creature as described in the Natural Weapons article. Consider the jull as 10 SIZ larger for the purposes of determining the size, damage, and reach of the stinger.

Effects

Upon onset and every 15 seconds thereafter the victim gains one level of fatigue. No more than 5 levels of fatigue can be caused by this poison. Fatigue levels gained by this poison will not be recovered until the poison is neutralized or the duration has ended.


Treatment

Can be treated with the Healing skill. If the poison is not treated before the duration runs out, the victim will suffer a permanant level of fatigue. There is a also a known and common antidote, the Nevrasis Tincture, an unnaturally cold and oily drink made from spirits steeped in rimewort. As rimewort is easily found along most coasts and Jull are a common people, it is cheap and widely available and the tincture can be found in most general first aid kits. Only treats fresh wounds, does nothing to help with the permanant fatigue from an untreated envenoming.

Jull can store 2 doses in each venom sac, it takes a week to produce another dose of venom after one is used. Without specific storage designed for such venoms jull venom loses potency within an hour of exposure to air.

Natural Swimmers: Jull can intuitively swim from birth. Gain +30% to Swim.
