Society of Ilythyra

There are three classes of houses of noble houses in Ilythyra. They are broken up into three tiers: The First, The Second, and The Third. Below the nobility is the gentry and then there are general citizens ranked below that.

The First

The First houses, also called: Firsts, The Royal Houses, or The Highest. These are houses that are either the Royal House of Araminta or related to them. Those who have married into the house are often elevated to The First. There are not many houses that are considered this outside of House Araminta as the same few houses over the past half millenia have been marrying into it. The following houses are considered First:
1. House Araminta
2. House Elrieth
3. House Morna
4. House Vahana
5. House Enthyra
6. House Miranan

The Second

The Second Houses, also called: Seconds, Upper Nobility, The Middle, among other names. These houses are considered upper nobility and often weild much power and wealth. While they are not royal, they are still powerful. There are not many of these houses as well as over the past 500 years they have either been elevated or demoted. The following houses are considered The Second:
1. House Sarberos
2. House Pamaris
3. House Iliralei
4. House Meyvir
5. House Faestina

The Third

The Third Houses, also called: The Thirds, Lower Nobility, The Lowers, among other names. While they are still considered nobility, they weild less power and wealth than the others. They often need to be more careful in their choices and actions than others. There are more Third houses than any other tier. The following houses exist in The Third:
1. House Adgolor
2. House Omaven
3. House Wysadi
4. House Payra
5. House Araven
6. House Zumtris
7. House Reygolor
8. House Farzana
9. House Ularie
10. House Magdove
11. House Biro
12. House Loragella
13. House Thera
14. House Valrieth
15. House Daxidor

The Gentry

Much of Ilythyra is well-off and there does not exist much poverty. There are many families that exist in the gentry that do not quite have the standing to achieve the status of nobility.

Citizens

Most everyone else in the city are either craftspeople, store owners, or laborers. Some work in the palace, some work in the houses or manors of the nobility, and yet others are guards. Those who do fall into poverty are often helped out by neighbors or welfare programs in the city.
