Human
Humans are but a fledgling race compared to many of the other inhabitants of Ember. It is believed that they came to be only a thousand years ago, when they slipped into the world through the cracks created by the shattering of the Imperium. Humans do not live long, so they must live well, and the result of their ambition and work ethic is the formation of the first great kingdom since the Dragon Empires fell.

Humanity is spread throughout the Great Planescape Basin, but can most likely not be found anywhere else in the world.

Major Organizations
Humans where Critical in the creation of The Embershade Alliance and the Little Kingdom, and are patrons of the only real religion that exists in the great planescape basin, The church of the twin gods.

Humans are a very diverse race, and find beauty to be something disputed on and largely relative.
Average Technological Level
With the help of their elven and dwarven friends, humans have discovered much about the natural world and its various uses. Metallurgy is their most important technological skill, but they have much magical knowledge as well.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Humans still speak the same language that they brought with them from where ever they came from. This language is the common tongue spoken throughout the Little Kingdom, Though some dialects are heavily influenced by Elven or Dwarvish.
History
Humans came into Ember through the portals opened by the shattering of the Imperium. Since then they have been central in the creation of the Little Kingdom, which brought together the settlements in the Great Planescape Basin for mutual benefit and protection.
Historical Figures
King Kadolan I, the hero of the syndicate wars, became the first king of the Little Kingdom. His leadership brought in a new age of peace and prosperity, and he is revered as a saint even today. The crown of the Little Kingdom, though technically an elected position, has remained in his family almost exclusively, to this day, the current king being Kadolan III.
Common Myths and Legends
Many of the humans in Ember believe that some of their gods came with them from their home world. Alva and Tethyr, the twin gods, are the patrons of their society and strive to protect The Little Kingdom from those who would seek its ruin. In opposition to them is Kozic, the chained god, who loves tyranny and is cruel in the extreme. He seeks to bring all under his own command, or else to destroy them utterly. It is believed that soon after they arrived in Ember, the Twin gods captured Kozic and used much of their remaining divinity to chain him so that he could not harm the fledgling societies that had begun to rise up in the wake of the Imperium Wars
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Relations with other species is not looked down upon in human society, as inter-species relations bring the members of the Embershade alliance ever closer together. Half elves are quite common through out society, and though fertility is impossible between humans and any other common race, relationships between them are not uncommon.
