Knights of the Hearth

The Knights of the Hearth are an elite order of knights based out of Hearth-Home. They fight in defense of the kingdom and its people, and see action from the high walls of Darkmantle pass to the cliffs of the Blackguard. They also make up the kings personal guard, and he acts as their commander. They are the heavy troopers of the kingdoms military, leading thundering cavalry charges and unbreakable defenses. It is said that the Knights of the Hearth are always the first into the fray, and the last to retreat when the horns have blown.

Structure

The knights of the Hearth are led by the ruler of the Little Kingdom, and it is from their ranks that the king or queens personal guard are chosen. The order also has several commanders that are in charge of leading or assigning missions to the other knights. There is at least one lodge for the order in each major city.
