Starlight

A holiday celebrated on the 25th of Stormsend. It celebrates the passing of loved ones, and it is tradition to light a large fire and sit around it until even the embers have gone cold, while telling stories about those who have passed away. Star gazing is considered a sacred activity on this occasion, as those who have moved on are thought to pass through the shattered gate and join the stars in the night sky to forever watch over the world below.

History

This holiday has been celebrated in Ember long before humanity arrived, and is a relic from the dragon empires, who believed that the souls of the dead would go on to join the eternal hoard as a star in the sky, under the love and care of the great dragon of the sky.
