The Cilestic Connection

The Cilestic Connection is the connection that exists between the Twin Gods Alva and Tethyr. It extends at times to the speaker of the church.

This connection can only be bestowed by the twins.

Symptoms

In dreams or at times during waking hours, the Speaker will receive visions and messages from the Twin Gods, communicating news, advise, and other such things.

History

The first known Speaker arrived in Ember at the same time as the rest of humanity, though it is said that at this time the Twin Gods were able to grant him incredible power. The loss of divinity due to Kozics imprisonment is said to have diminished the power of the Speaker as well.

Cultural Reception

Speakers are often Revered in their community and the kingdom at large. Their advise is generally heeded, as it often comes from the foreknowledge given to them by the Twin Gods.
