The Hearth Plains

The most populated area within the Great Planescape Basin, these plains are fertile and provide enough food to support those who live there, as well as providing ample trade with the kingdom at large. It is the safest place to live in the Great Planescape Basin, and has few active threats other than from the Black Coast.

Geography

The Hearth Plains sit to the east and north east of the Great Planescape Basin. It is an area that benefits from extremely fertile soil, and regular rainfall from storms rolling in off the black coast. Its expanse is littered with streams and rivers, small lakes and springs which all run into the Embershade Sea. It is bordered on the north by the Dragonguard Mountains, to the east by the Lilac Mountains and the Black Coast, to the south by the sapphire River, and to the west by the Embershade Sea.

Fauna & Flora

This area contains mostly a lush grassland with copse of trees here and there. Rivers that run through give much opportunity for water based creatures to live and thrive, while a large assortment of birds make their homes here. Beasts such as deer and mountain lions, boars, bears, rabbits, badgers, and others make their homes here as well, and sometimes clash with local livestock such as sheep and cattle.

Natural Resources

Wood can be found round about the providence, especially in the Greenspring forest to the north, while stone and various ores are common in the hills and mountains surrounding the plain. Grains and other crops are commonly grown here, and livestock is in abundance, and fish can be found in abundance.
