Baste Simos

Baste Simos was one of the Alsonan Rangers' greatest up and coming heroes and adventurers. He was well known for his unorthodox tactics and training methods. He claimed many times to have slain obscure beasts and monsters throughout the lands, but only rarely had proof beyond scars and battle damage. His stories were popular among his associates, however, and he was often encouraged to write them down, whether or not he was believed. In time, Simos became obsessed with a creature or creatures called sphinxes. Never spotted nor slain by a Ranger before, Simos took it upon himself to find and capture one. He never returned from that adventure.
