Blackshear River
The Blackshear River is a tributary of the Apalachicola River, flowing through the basin that shares the same name. This river floods often, which has helped provide the area around it with extreme fertility for farming and agriculture. The flooding has made it difficult for the local humans to make lasting settlements, but the city of Arlington has done quite well for itself, being a center for the farmers that call this land home. The flooding makes trade on the river difficult, and only at certain times of year can barges head down the river towards the trading centers of the Apalachicola.
