Bruno Cormier

Commandant Bruno Cormier

Bruno Cormier was born into a middle class trading family in the city of Riveraineville. His family struggled through hard times, managing on the meager trading that took place directly between the Riveraineville and the Kingdom of Losana. Discontent with his lot, and tired of the stress and wear it put upon his parents, Cormier was drawn to a revolutionary movement that sought to end ties between the king and establish a free Riveraineville. The movement struggled to grow into anything substantial, but Cormier managed to be a core component of it, leading several protests and even spending a considerable amount of time in prison for his ideological efforts. The time spent in prison changed him and he left, seeming to embrace the family business. Through this he developed close ties and support with the Theriot family. When the Revolution occurred he was quick to take to the streets and join in the revolt against Losana.   As a reward for his past and current support, Magdalena Theriot rewarded Cormier with the position of Commandant of Premcercle. At first this was a meaningless title, as the warehouse that had been known as First Circle had been all but abandoned following the Battle of Spider Bend and the Revolution. With the inspiration of Magdalena, Cormier knew that he could make a mark on a new nation. He was a driving force behind the hotel and casino plans, and personally designed the layout of the town to come. His knowledge of the region and the local trading routes led to him gaining further acclamation and his proudest moment was when Premcercle finally opened for business. He has since been leading the new town contently, and has been known as a fair hand, sympathetic to the working classes that keep the town running. He never bends the law for the tourists, and makes sure that everyone is treated fairly while business continues.
