Dáire Cathaláin is a scholar in exile from the Sypi Confederacy. Having fought during the Sypi Civil War, he has since fled his country despite nominally being on the victorious side. Originally from the Wicka clan, he escaped the Confederacy after the war after multiple attempts upon his life. These efforts have largely been linked to the alleged "Hidden Tribe," the Sypi Confederacy's mysterious and possibly mythical organized crime syndicate. Now, old and living in exile, Cathalain has sought shelter in an undisclosed nation and location, attempting to avoid further attempts upon his life.
