Dan Wesson was born the older of two brothers in the city of Riveraineville. His mother was a popular prostitute in the city, which had been going through rough economic times. He was born a half-orc and his brother was a half-elf. Their mother was murdered shortly after they reached adulthood, and they set out on adventure. Their adventures took them into the Sypi Confederacy, where along with several others, they assisted Quico Bienombe in securing the votes he required to become the new High Chief.
During his adventures, Dan Wesson and the others ended up fighting a pack of near-feral werewolves north of the town of Grenadd. Aided by a force of the town guard, they managed to corner and attack the werewolves, defeating them at a heavy price. Both Dan and nearly a dozen guards had been bitten during the battle, and unknown to them, they had contracted the curse of lycanthropy. Dan continued on with his adventures afterward, but when the party was crossing towards the Sypi River, the first full moon rose, and Dan Wesson became feral, attacking his friends. They were able to subdue him without being bit themselves, and he returned to his normal form.
Realizing the danger he posed, Dan left the party, and met back up with those who had also been bitten. They had suffered similar experiences and had fled into the Confederate wilds. He rallied them, collected a woman he had met along the way who was pregnant with his child, and led them north. Together he found a safe haven along a peaceful stream in the northlands, and they were able to settle down and begin building a new life. His wife chose to take upon herself the lycanthropic curse, and they seemed poised to settle down.
Unfortunately, Dan's brother had enraged authorities down in the Confederacy after accidentally burning down the heart of a tribe, killing hundreds of people in an inferno he created. He was due to be hanged and Dan returned to rescue him. He was successful, after rallying the other members of his party. After some further adventures they all returned to what became Wessonton. At long last Dan settled down and began building his family, and a safe haven for lycanthropes like him.
