Lizzie Posner (a.k.a. The First)

Lizzie Posner is the most powerful housewife in the history of the city of Liberty. Arriving from unknown origins with a large amount of gold in 1017 AF, she became a force to recon with nearly overnight. She proved a cunning trader and used the funds that she had arrived with to make a series of rapid exchanges with local merchants, and within a week, had enough money to purchase one of the largest homes in the city. To the shock of many Libertarians, after only two more weeks, she was married to a local laborer, best known for drunkenly falling asleep in allies.
The abrupt marriage of Lizzie proved a cunning tactical move, as placing much of her wealth into the control of her husband has allowed her to remain under the notice of inquisitors of the Church of the One Sun and those who would seek to use Jakonian laws to exploit her as a woman. Her husband soon disappeared from the public eye, and she kept a tight fist around the family's finances. The wealth she possessed proved a major factor in her growth as a ruthless criminal queenpin, outmaneuvering countless other would-be leaders, simply through cunning use of finances and the employment of the correct people. Her wealth ultimately led her to the Rally of Free Men.
The Rally of Free Men in 1025 was in desperate need of a new leader. Having been stymied at turn after turn by House Camburn and its agents, the Rally was on the backpedal and seemed to be close to falling apart, torn by infighting. After Lizzie became aware of the organization, she saw the opportunity to use it to her own ends. Over the course of a year, numerous influential members of the Rally disappeared or turned up dead, and House Camburn was frequently blamed. Lizzie soon finagled herself to a clear point of leadership, appealing to those who wished for less influence from the Imperial City, and more importantly, those who simply wanted competent leadership. 
As the First Among Equals of the Rally of Free Men, Lizzie has pursued an aggressive policy against House Camburn, and has begun establishing ties with the Starshine Front in efforts of building alliances to protect the Rally from destruction. These efforts have been mostly successful, and her position as a rising star in the Jakonian underworld seems secured.
