Queen Miranda Taeylorr the Third is the current reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Alsona. Prior to rising to the throne, she was the firstborn of two sisters under the previous Queen Zinoveia II. She was educated with eventually becoming queen constantly at the forefront of her education and knowledge. She spent ample time training with the Royal Guard and embedded within the Royal Alsonan Army. Most of her focus, however, was on politics and affairs of state, managing the relationships between the various mining corporations and noble houses within Alsona. Her mixture of experience served her well, and she married a lower ranking officer within the Alsonan army. She had three children before she ascended to the throne.
Queen Zinoveia II was an active and martial leader, and the outbreak of the Wingo War led to her immediate and direct involvement away from court. Princess Miranda was given the duties of actively managing the domestic affairs of state during the course of the conflict while her mother fought on the battlefield. Zinoveia's death in the Second Battle of Wingo Mine led to the immediate passage of the monarchy to Miranda. With the Alsonan army defeated and shattered, Miranda was forced to rally the surviving garrisons and forces available to defend Zachari Crossing. The dwarves and elves were held back in an otherwise inconclusive battle, barely. Queen Miranda was instrumental in establishing a ceasefire, but has refused to recognize or otherwise sign a treaty with the Tenashi Kingdom or Valtkos Wingo. Consensus among the court indicates that she continues to blame the elves and dwarves for her mother's death in battle.
For the past fifteen years since the de facto end of the Wingo War, Queen Miranda has been busy consolidating the rest of the kingdom from the fallout of the disastrous conflict. With the western resources of the kingdom lost to the rebellion, Alsonan mining companies have faced dire times. The increase in centaur activity to the north and raids along the northern frontier have led to calls for action from the queen, but the army remains in poor condition. Queen Miranda has been seen to be struggling with all of the various demands upon her time, and the stress has clearly affected her, as many describe her as weary, old, and sickly, well ahead of her time.
