Orpheus Rodis

Orpheus Rodis was born in the city of Tinnt, to a minor noble house in the city. He was taken under the wing of a traveling halfling bard, who taught him much about life and gave him an education in the methods of using magic in song. He began his training as a bard and was encouraged to seek out a mythical specialty for his learning and stories. This is what to a catastrophe that dramatically extended his life. He studied the medusa, creatures that can turn most beings into stone with only a gaze. In his studies, he actually encountered one while adventuring near Peristeri. He was promptly turned to stone and rendered inert, stuck in the lair of the medusa. He remained trapped there for decades, until eventually he was rescued by an adventuring party that slayed the beast. His form was one of the few that was still intact enough for restoration at the hands of a cleric. Brought back out of time, he traveled home to find that his family had long since departed and his ancestral lands were lost. He became a resident bard with the University of Pegrama, giving interviews and information about the time he had been born and lived, as a living historical figure for the nation. He continues to reside in Pegrama to this day, but is known to be somewhat depressive of a presence on any social gathering.
