Shin

Shin, or as they refer to it "Linguam," is the language spoken among the people of the Shin Empire. The scholars and leaders of the Shin claim that the language dates back to even before the Nameless Empire and its expanse, which they state was merely a successor to an even older empire beyond the scale of remembered history. Linguam was apparently enforced years after the end of the Nameless Empire as a way to confuse the Shin's enemies and retain encoded messages and conversation. What began as a military measure eventually became enshrined as national law, bringing the speech into the forefront as the primary tongue for all classes. The effort proved successful, and many in the backwoods of the Shin Empire speak not a touch of Common, but only Linguam.
