Aarakocra

The Aarakocra, also known as birdfolk, are avian humanoids who live in high, mountainous regions, and are strong fliers. They have also been called "sky hunters" and "feather heads".

Basic Information

Anatomy

Aarakocra resemble humanoid birds. On average they stand about 5' tall with a wingspan of 20'. Their hands have three fingers and a thumb, and their powerful legs end in four sharp talons. They have hollow, fragile bones which enable them to fly with little effort. Their faces combined the features of both parrots and eagles. They had gray-black beaks and black eyes. Males tend to have brighter plumage, often red, yellow, or orange, while females are found in duller colors such as brown or gray. Aarakocra can identify one another by their plumage alone.
