Dracocinis' World (Inn-su-laah)

Overall:

The setting of the world is made up of the remains of dragons who were slain aeons ago which is where it gets its name Dracocinis (Latin Draco "Dragon" + cinis "remains" or "ashes"). The known world of Dracocinis is strongly reminiscent of Earth, there is a major difference that separate Earth from Dracocinis. It has a giant tower piecing it breaching its North and South poles, acting as its magnetic pole. With Four Bridges that correspond to one of the four corners of the world.   In general, the landmass of Dracocinis is completely different to Earth's. Dracocinis itself consists of a two supercontinents that's surrounded by other smaller continents and a vast archipelago. The majority of the island countries being no smaller than 130,000 km2. These two supercontinents are artificial and are connected by ancient land bridges, making the collective landmass of these two supercontinents no bigger than 40,000,000 km2 and 80,000,000 km2.

The Four Bridges (The Crossroads):

On Dracocinis there are where once Four Great Bridges that coalesce the world's continents and divided the oceans, each of the Four Bridges correspond to one of four cardinal directions in four corners of the world. The Four Bridges were once the mighty land bridges created by the Prometheans for their civilization to traverse the world, until they fell into the depths of the vast oceans. They're now perceived as spiritual bridges that lead the dead and ships to safer passage.

Their Purpose

The Four Great Bridges are the only safe way that anyone can navigate from one end of Dracocinis to the other, as there's some invisible routs that bridge them to their navigational counterpart if the path to them is charted properly.

How They're Perceived

The Four Bridges are revered as holy across the world due their safe transitions to the other sides of Dracocinis, they're normally represented by a general geometric cross, symbolizing the interconnection to their polar opposites and the united bridges between. In one instance, there is a culture that believed that the bridges were roots of a great tree in the centre of the world whose canopy acts as the Firmament.

The Pillars:

In Dracocinis there are countless huge black obelisk Pillars that dot the world. Each of these Pillars are copies of the original Pillar, slaves to the master that acts as the centre of the world. The Master Pillar resides in the Forbidden Continents and its power is so strong that it acts as the magnetic centre of the whole world. The Pillars are one of the most ancient structures in the world, why they exist is considered one of the world's greatest mysteries. They are a reminder to both the reader and the inhabitance that there's something mysterious about the world. As a result of their existence, people use the term pole and pillar as both mutually and interchangeably.

Their Purpose

Unlike the Four Trees, The Pillars emanates The Miasma which is the source of all Magic that can manipulate Dracocinis much more greatly than The Æther could. Each time it's power is called upon though, a strange ethereal fog is drawn out from the Pillars and is drawn to the location its power was drawn from.

How They're Perceived

The Pillars are controversial objects in Dracocinis, some see them as unholy and blasphemous but others see them as invaluable sources of magic that can grant untold power if properly deciphered.

The Great Blue Ocean:

The Great Blue Ocean. The Great Blue is the vast open ocean that all of Dracocinis inhabits, it is what helps allow the world to exist beyond whatever lies beyond it is Tehom. Without the Great Blue Ocean, the boundary between what is and isn't would not exist to separate Dracocinis from Tehom. As a result, the Great Blue is one of the few substances in Dracocinis that's remained untouched by The Limbus for aeons.   But although it is "safe" from the vacuous apatite of the Tehom and its tendrils of The Limbus, it's not safe from the refuse that it spawns. Creating colossal sea monsters and hideous sea beasts that would make grown men shiver with fear. At first such creatures landlocked most civilisations, forcing them to create long winding routes across The Great Blue. But during the early thousand years of Aevum Vetus Imperii. Mankind created great and powerful weapons to combat the abominable sea life, allowing man to properly traverse the sea more easily. Over the next few thousand years, Humanity almost complete conquered the sea by the closing of Aevum Fabulae et Legendae.

Dracocinis' Proposed Planetary System:

Due to the need of scientific explanation and understanding of what Dracocinis' world is, scientists have come up with this proposed model. This does not mean this explanation necessarily is true as it is simply a theory proposed through observation of the world's current shape. Dracocinis' planetary existence follows a Geocentric model (all the neighbouring satellites orbit around the planet) instead of Heliocentrism (planets orbits around the sun). In most historically proposed cosmological depictions of Dracocinis they depict it as a folded disc-like shape. The Modern model and most "accurate" depiction of Dracocinis is a wide Rhombus, though this would still be inaccurate as the form of Dracocinis has no consistent shape. The Firmament itself is believed to surround Dracocinis as a sphere creating the day and night cycle on a rotational axis.

Dracocinis' Satellites:

Dracocinis has five satellites orbiting the Firmament that includes the Sun and four moons, though only two full moons will be visible at a given time. The Sun is not a ball of gas but is in fact a giant white flaming "eye", its gaze orbits around the Firmament which takes a year in Dracocinis' time. This helps determine the seasons of Dracocinis during it's year and that the sun rises in the east. Due to this orbit, this means that the hottest parts of Dracocinis are around its East and West edge and the North and South being some of the coldest.   Due to the prominence of the Sun in Dracocinis' myths, it is often worshiped as the god above all others. The one creator of the world and all that is Dracocinis. In turn the four moons also have greater significance, these moons have become an integral part of every religion's interpenetration of the afterlife. Eden is considered to be heaven, due to it's lush green and blue colours; Aequor is considered to be the original ocean and where life began, due to its blackish-blue colouration; Luna is seen as purgatory, due to its grey colour; and Gehenna is seen as hell, due to its bright red surface. And due to how the Sun and other moons are viewed, they form the Helios Polygamia. A marriage of five that created and birthed humanity upon the surface of the world.
