Eliahbanic Religions

Overall

All current major religions are based off of the Abrahamic religions, called the Eliahbanic religions in Dracocinis, with all of them being monotheistic. The term derived from the patriarchal father Eliahba. A man who laid the foundation of his religion due to how many children he fathered over his three-hundred year long lifetime; though he may have been much older. It was a blessing that was unique to him and the race he once was a part of, until their near total extinction that forced him to mate with human women to continue his people's bloodlines.   As a direct comparison of the Abrahamic religions, this means that he's revered as the founder of all his decadents' religions. To understand which religions are related to the Eliahbanic Religions is simple; whatever religion mentions a holy father that came from a now destroyed foreign land or figures who are the descendants of Eliahba, is an Eliahbanic Religion. All Eliahbanic Religions worship their own interpretive version of The Monad who will be the called Eloah (Hebrew Deity), along with other Elohim (plural word for Eloah) called The Demiurge. This will be a reference to the many interpretations of the Abrahamic god in our world.

Adamikism

Adamikism, also called The Old Faith, is the oldest known Eliahbanic Religion to exist in Dracocinis. The Adamikia religion is based off of Judaism, as such, a majority of their religion is based the same teachings of its inspiration. It's name comes from the first son of Eliahba, Adamik (Adam), who founded the very basis of what all Eliahbanic Religions would become. Adas (Jews) are the core followers of this religion, being composed of people from Adamikia.

The Soterian Faith

The Soterian Faith is an Eliahbanic Religion based off of Christianity, as such, a majority of their religion is based the same teachings of its inspiration. The original religion was called the Absentes sint Conservatores (Literal Latin They are the absent preservers), who were are a conservative sect of Adamikism that broke away from the faith to spawn a new religious teaching which was in response to the lethargy and decadence of the Old Faith.   However; where it differs is their namesake of a holy figure, the Soter (Greek σωτήρας, Literal Greek sotíras, meaning Redeemer or Saviour), who was said to be the last Son of Eliahba and the man who guided the truly faithful Adas from the Old Temples to build new ones based upon his teachings. A man who purged the world of evil and absorbed the sins of the world upon himself. He was given the title of Khristos (Greek χριστός Literal Greek chrīstós, meaning "anointed one", English "Christ") that earned him a rite of Anointment with Chrism by the high priest of his followers. This figure's name was Immanuel (Hebrew עִמָּנוּאֵל‎ meaning, "God is with us").

Organization

The Soterian Faith has several diverging Churches; each originating from the same basic origin and following similar, although slightly different practices. The most common being the Reman Mundus Church (Universal Church).

Symbol

Their holy symbol is a symbol is a Soterogram. It is a combination of the Greek lambda symbol over an upsilon symbol, Λ and Υ, forming the shape of a vertical rhombus with a tail. In reference to the two words used interchangeably with their holy figure, Redeemer (Λ) Saviour (Y). This symbol was often adopted into the design of an ankh or a torch.

The Medio Templi Machina

The Medio Templi Machina (otherwise called the Temple of the Machine Transmission or Temple of Science and Machine) are a technocratic religious order of scientist priests who dedicate their lives to the advancement and innovation of technology, their whole religion is based on the study and research of all forms of science but most of it focused on machinery.

Organization

Most people who follow this religion are the scientific and engineering communities, who come from either noble or middle-class upbringings. Their followers are called "Fuel", with Monks and Nuns servants being called "Cogs" who follow their Priests the "Gears". All of whom are acting under the guidance of their "Motor", The Machine Pontiff, the Eloah of their religion. Their teachings are based on the concept of the "Universal Engine", a metaphysical perpetual machine that all life is a part of and keeps alive; the knowledge of their founder is the Ex Machina Deo, a decadent of Eliahba, who promoted that a paradise on Dracocinis could only be created through technology and that science was indeed an act of holy prayer to the Monad.

History

Historically the order was nothing more than a small sect of ancient philosophers, scientists, scholars and engineers that kept alive old knowledge of advanced technology and scientific wisdom. Often being persecuted for their teaching and killed under the false pretences of witchcraft, however this was not to last for long. As it was the knowledge and teachings of The Medio Templi Machina that helped establish and lay the foundations of The Machine Empires. They've been the official religion for The Machine Empires for almost 1,000 years, despite being the minority, as a result they have a monopoly in the mechanical and engineering sciences.
