Ishan Ibarin

Being one of the most powerful wizards of all time, Ishan has managed to keep himself alive for over 2000 years despite being only human.   He was very bright even as a young teen and loved to read about history and magic. His ambitions drove him to him to the major cities where he quickly found himself a wizard that could teach him. Ishan was naturally gifted and progressed in a rapid pace. He left his tutor to continue researching on his own. His openmindness and friendly personality made him many great connections that earned him some great lessons over the years.    On his travels he met an elf by the name of Bemere, she was wise and powerful. He was eager to learn from her and began making conversations with her. Impressed by his obvious intelligence and expertise, she enjoyed his company more and more. They became great friends and decided to accompany each other on their travels. Ishan was kind and never hesitated to help any person or village they passed on the way. Before leaving he always left them with a couple of wise words to aid them in the future.   Ishan soon realized that something was wrong. A darkness was growing but he wasn't sure what. He reached out to everyone he knew in search for clues that could reveal what was happening. The conclusion was a demon roaming about. Its powers were growing stronger and it was only a matter of time before he would unleash all his powers. He knew he had to do something. To his surprise, word of his efforts had spread far and wide. People came looking for him, wishing to help in any way they could. Some great warriors came with great advice and Ishan was humbled. He saw value in every species that wanted to aid and he made sure to take full advantage of their abilites.    During the battle of the Unchained Eclipse, Ishan's powers of light came to good use. He and his fellow comrades that he'd gathered were considered heroes. Greatful for their help, he saw an oppertunity to help people further. With all their knowledge combined, there were so much they could teach others. And thus, the building of Arathorn began.   He became the schools Principal and he used all of his connections to keep an eye around the world, making sure no evil could find room to grow again. With his seven Founders, Arathorn became the greatest school for ambitious minds. Anyone who was invited to study there considered it a great honor to get to learn from the most respected spellcasters and warriors of the era.    As the school grew, people trusted Ishan with their sources of knowledge. Books, maps and religous scrools, many now rest in the libraries and vaults of Arathorn. Ishan were usually invited to attend diplomatic meetings of all sorts, as people sought his opinon and advice. He trusted his fellow Founders to run the school and its other errands while he was away from time to time. Nothing slipped Ishan's sight.   However, with time, as more of his old comrades were laid to rest, he realized there was only so much he could do on his own. He looked to his most trusted teachers and masters of Arathorn and after Bemere's approval, formed the Elder Council. He hoped they would do what his dear Founder used to, but would find that the younger generations, even pupils of his own, can have a different view from him.   When more and more conflict arose, the Council would outvote him and Arathorn would seclude themselves from the other world, nearly ruining the connections Ishan had built during most of his lifetime, if he hadn't decided to keep reaching out in secret.   During this time, he would find the joy in the reason he started this school, the students. After Bemere died, he was the last living Founder and felt a great sorrow inside his heart. He only showed himself for more serious matters and let the other Elders stand as the more public image. However, the young and ambitious minds put a smile on his face and he enjoyed helping them during their struggles. He became loved and respected for his gentle ways. Sometimes the teachers would argue he needed to be a little stricter with some students but Ishan always said that; "While it's good for them to figure things out on their own, a little helping hand can be a great push to even bigger achievments."   During Moz'Garal's attack on the school, it was Ishan alone that was able to subdue the great entity. After that, he realized how much his school had fallen behind. It was time to fully open the communications once again. The Council didn't have anything to say against it, seeing as they had let this tragedy befall upon them. Ishan reforges his bond with the Dawn Keepers, who used to have and alliance with Arathorn many years age. The old wizard seeks to quench the evil forces that has taken foot in the world once again. He wants to repent the damage he and the Council caused when they shut their doors to the world. It was time to make Arathorn what it once was; a great stronghold and source of knowledge. But most importanly a beacon of light for all the people in need.   Ishan know that the progress will be slow, but he's determined to help. Even if he has to do it from the shadows this time.
