Lyndis Dayra

Rarely seen at the school by its students, Lyndis spent most of her time as a messenger for Arathorn, riding her dear friend, Ildria, the silver dragon, across the skies.   The elf was scouting the woods when she stumbled upon an injured young dragon who'd been attacked by some hunters. She spent several weeks caring for her as she slowly recovered. The silver dragon, Ildria, were amazed by the kindness the wood elf showed her and as a way of showing her gratitude, she asked the elf to climb up on her back and take her up to the skies. Together they shared the sense of freedom and formed a friendship rarely seen between dragons and other creatures.    Lyndis main focus in life was to protect the innocent creatures of nature, a calling Ildria found honorable and decided to help. Over the years they became known as watchful guardians in the sky. Trained as ranger proved very sufficent while riding the back of a dragon, but Lyndis made sure to hone her swordsmanship as well. Worried for her little friend, the dragon offered her some of her scales as armor which Lyndis forged into a chestplate which she always wore into combat since then.   She usually avoided conflict as much she could, careful not to interfere with conflicts that might be dragged out over longer periods of time. She cherished her freedom above all else, but once Ildria came into her life her attitude slowly changed. With the dragons help, she could end fights more quickly without any bloodspill. With time, battles started to emerge that was too much for them to handle on their own.   As the threat of the Unchained Eclipse grew, so did the word of a powerful wizard named Ishan Ibarin. Intrigued, Lyndis and Ildria meet with him and his group to see what they were all about. They all came to an agreement and would fight along side each other during the great battle of the Eclipse.   As Arathorn began to rise, Lyndis wasn't to keen on the idea to stay at one place for longer periods of time and she knew Ildria would hate it. Explaning her feelings, Ishan and the rest of the Founders agreed it probably would be best for the wood elf and her friend to act as guardians of Arathorn. They would do what they did best, keep an eye on the conflicts around the world and report back to the school once a month. They were both excited about the idea to have something bigger to stand for.   They had good relations with Drencios as he had a similar mission and frankly was more enjoyable to visit since he wasn't hidden in some forest. Thanks to him, Lyndis and Ildria helped in sealing away the void serpent.   Lyndis became frailer with age and flying trips became more scares. Ildria wouldn't leave her side and would stay grounded longer than most dragons would. After she died, Ildria picked her up gently in her claws and flew to the Rook High Mountains, burying her there at their favourite resting spot. The dragon hasn't been seen since.
