Matilda

Quirky and energetic like most gnomes, Matilda has what it takes to deal with the young and wounded. She was hand-picked by Ishan Ibarin himself as he saw her great intelligence and motherly nature, to help him and he granted her the gift of old age like himself. Matilda has raised around 60% of the graduates from Arathorn who came to the school as children. Her workplace is located within the roots of the mother-tree that the school is built around. The old gnome is honest and straight to the point when dealing with adults but when she deals with the young ones she's a lot more empathetic.  During her years of service, Matilda formed a connection with the nature around the school. It granted her herbs and water to help in her work. It's because of this that Arathorn has a tremendous amount of waterfalls and springs that run through its buildings.
