Moz'Garal
The Colossal Annihilator (a.k.a. The Cursed Flame)
An entity of that lives for chaos. In the beginning of the world,
Moz’Garal was considered one of the pure entities. He aided in
keeping balance between good and evil. However, his thirst for power
was ever growing. Fearing what he might do, the other gods went
behind his back and imprisoned him in the abyss. They erased the
world of his memory so that no being might attempt to free him.
What the Gods didn’t expect, was that Moz’Garal had known about
their scheme and warned his most loyal follower. They tried to flee
and hide their scrolls and books but the servants of the other gods
caught up with them and stole all their belongings, locking it away
only to kill them right after.
Centuries go by, and no word has ever been spoken about Moz’Garal
since. Even the Gods themselves forgot about him. In their peace, they
let his powerful mind slip past them. The times in captivity had
weakened him, but he was still able to reach out to innocent
creatures, seducing them with gifts of great power. One foolish
creature, a gnome by the name of Tulbo, was so intrigued by the
offer that through his powerful magic was able to break Moz’Garal
out of his imprisonment. The only thing that remained after that
breakout, was miles of ashen wasteland. Tulbo was never to be seen
again.
Moz’Garal is now on a quest for vengance, to punish those who
imprisoned him and turn the world into his domain. His powers are
not yet completely restored, he needs souls. He needs servants and...
A new manifestation. Someone he can use to lead his attack. Easily
seduced but yet capable enough to hold his powers. It’s a rarity but
he would wait. He is patient.
Like many others, Helon was seduced by Moz’Garal’s offer. However, unlike any
other of the entity’s servants, He didn’t just get the powers. He got the entity
himself. With his rage merging with his own, they became almost and unstoppable
force. But Helon’s mind wasn’t as easily corrupted as Moz’Garal first had thought.
The elf quenched his powers and allowed them both to be thrown into imprisonment.
Moz’Garal made attempts to threaten the elf to do his bidding and escape. But
Helon knew it was just a ruse. “You can’t kill me. You need me, Moz.” He answered. The
entity didn’t fancy being given a nickname but he quickly realized that he had to take
a different approach. Helon wasn’t the only cunning mind in this cave. After all,
Moz had even tricked the old Gods themselves. Surely a mere mortal would be an
easy task?
As decades went by, they formed a strange kind of relationship. They enjoyed
challenging each other. A battle of the minds. It had even come to the point where
Moz returned the favour and gave Helon a nickname of his own; Pixie. A mocking
reference to his elven heritage. To his annoyance, the drow didn’t seem to mind. The
entity would keep going. As years went by Moz would find little ways to get under
Helon’s skin. “You are just afraid! Too weak to try! Look at you, slowly fading away.
What would Trisphyra say? Even she thinks you are a failure!” Any mention of the
Moon elf would always trigger something inside Helon, but as soon as Moz
attempted to use that emotion to trigger his powers Helon would resist and smile,
“Tut-tut-tut. Remember, Moz; Only on my terms.”
And so they went on, either trying to one-up each other or have intricate
conversations about warfare and power.
