Body Features

Has scars all over his body. Unlike a lot of dracids, he does not have a dragon wing magical 'tattoo', as his ancestral dragon did not fly with wings.

Has a short beard that is close cut and neatly trimmed.

Has an amputation below the left knee and his tail that occurred during a naval battle in the Macamere Sea in the Second Intra-Continental War.

Ancestral dragon is Ajawau, meaning he can control the weather with his dracidic magic.

Wears a royal blue trench coat that was part of his old Naval uniform.

Is hard of hearing and therefore wears hearing aids. He also wears a prosthetic for his left leg.

Childhood

Ei'rah grew up as an orphan in the streets of Halikha, Shahran. His parents did not care for him as they should have and entirely abandoned him. Growing up this way gave Ei'rah trauma, as it forced him to grow up early on in his life. His only safe space ever was in the libraries, whether at school during the week or libraries on non-school days. It was one of the few times he didn't need to be on edge and could simply relax and read. It was also where he learned how to sew his clothing to fix it up again (with librarians bringing him supplies to fix up his clothes).

When he was in his early teens, a librarian was able to gain his trust enough and adopt him so he could have a stable home. It had taken years for her to gain his trust, since he had been abandoned so early in his life. It, perhaps, was one of the first times he had ever allowed himself to trust a person. And he was glad he did, because his adoptive mothers showered him with love and adoration. It took a long time to unlearn a lot of his traits associated with being an orphan, but it sure was worth it in the end.

Middle Adulthood

When he was in his mid forties, he saw the need for men in the Shahrani Navy and since as a dracid he still was considered young enough, he was able to enlist. He wanted to help fight for his country and help other countries when it was needed, as this was a time when Rhanalan was still colonized by the Naa'rani. Around 400 was when he found himself entering the Second Intra-Continental War as captain of the Yahrub.

Sexuality

Overall his sexuality is a mess. He sees himself as not being able to exactly fit into any boxes—he loves who he loves, he has multiple partners, but he also doesn't experience sexual attraction and his romantic attraction is hard to explain. All he's able to truly decipher is that he is just Ei'rah al-Kanneyeh, and that his attraction and love is just what it is.

Education

Graduated from the Shahrani Mage school when he was 25 with his studies having fallen under self defense with lightning magic specifically. Went back to school later in life just to learn more in general, as he enjoys learning.

Employment

Stay at home dad.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Using his weather magic, he created a storm over the ship of the enemy and used the distraction from that to launch a barrage of attacks on the enemy, defeating them at the battle of Dhir Dohna, gaining a win for the Rhanalanian Liberation Front.

Failures & Embarrassments

The battle of the Macamere Sea resulted in the loss of not only his left leg and half of his tail, but several of his crew members as well. It was a surprise attack by the Patriot Defense Forces while the Shahrani navy was taking their religious holiday—which was a dirty move because nobody willingly fought during holidays. Except the crew of the U.S.S. Eustiss and the U.S.S. San Diego, apparently.

Mental Trauma

Has seen comrades being killed, has seen comrades commit suicide, and has had friends commit suicide before. In fact, he regrets not being able to save his friends or comrades from their suicide. He lives with this guilt every day and sometimes it plagues his dreams. Not as much as they used to but it still does come back to torment him in his worst mental health days.
