Ver'an Holidur (VAir-Ran Hall-e-duur)
Reagent Lord Ver'an Holidur (a.k.a. Tal'Belore, The Sun's Wisdom)
Ver'an Holidur is one of the few Astral Elves still alive from when they first came to Encopia from the stars. Though a child at the time, he still remembers the way of life during those few years before the empire. Now a Reagent Lord and trusted advisor to General Felodraste Xilokiir, Ver’an shows a level of understanding for the empire’s enemies not normally shared by his peers and other members within the empire's higher ranks.
He has studied the texts and artifacts from the histories of the cultures the empire has conquered and has at times spoken out against the more violent methods by which the empire conducts its conquest. However, his words often fall on deaf ears save for Felodraste who welcomes the alternative perspective - even though his resulting actions might allude otherwise.
Despite this, Ver'an remains a loyal and dedicated member of the empire, and he sees his role as an advisor to Felodraste as an opportunity to influence the empire's actions for the better. He believes that through his guidance that the empire can move away from its more brutal methods and return to the Sun blessed ways of his childhood.
Ver'an maintains the belief that the empire is ultimately a force for good and necessary for the well being of all. Still holding that the Astral Elves culture and way of life is superior but in ways where it can improve upon the quality of life for those it subjugates. For in his long life he knows that the only thing that truly matters in the end is constructing a brighter future, by any means necessary.
