Shadow Witches

A small group of humans with large influence over the Swamps of Ferris. The Shadow Witches bargained with beings of shadow, tying their spirits to the Plane of Shadow. The ritual for doing so is extremely dangerous, ensuring that their numbers remain low, but grant a number of benefits. As such, a great deal of preparation goes into performing the ritual to make sure to give the greatest chance of success. While not immortal, their lifespans are greatly lengthened by their connection and they retain their youthful appearance almost until the day they pass. They utilize their connection to the Plane of Shadows to draw forth its power and use it ass magical ability. They supplement these magical abilities with practices that harness the energy generated by their passions to enhance their physical prowess as well. This gives the Shadow Witches a reputation of immortal seductresses that are looked down upon by the governments of Antagarich. The people of Tatalia, however, know differently and respect their leadership abilities.
