Kingdom of Tatalia

History

Tatalia's inhabitants suffered a long history of oppression to the leaders of Krewlod and the Erathian Empire, only declaring independence recently.
Before the kingdom was even created, the people living there were unorganized and weak. As the result of that they have been enslaved by barbaric kingdom.
After the collpase of the barbarian kingdom, the lands previously held by the barbarians were conquered by the forces of a new human nation, Erathia, created out of the corpse of Bracaduun. The lands of the Mudlanders were no exception and were swiftly taken over by Erathian knights.
The Erathian grip over the land continued for many, many years. The new rulers of the Mudlanders weren't using them as weapons of war however, instead turning the people of the swamps into slaves, who were supposed to live and die meaninglesly, working their whole lives in the mines and doing tasks assigned to them by their Erathian masters. This state of things continued for as long as knights ruled over the Mudlanders.
Erathian rule over the swamps was eventually crushed and the role of king of the newly formed kingdom went to a human Mudlander named Droglo.
First ruled by the human, Droglo, Tatalia's second (known) ruler is the human, Markham, who invaded Steadwick to steal a piece of "the Medalion of the Gates" artifact from his former employer.
