The Contested Lands

The Contested Lands, sometimes called Harmondale, was a region and independent nation on the continent of Antagarich.
In 1151AS, a group of citizens in the Contested Lands claimed to be descendants of the Phynaxian Empire, and demanded their independence, by force if necessary. Catherine Gryphonheart, who at the time was serving in Erathia's army, was forced to take her troops and put down the rebellion.
After the Restoration Wars, fearing that the Erathian Empire and the Kingdom of AvLee would resume hostilities with each other and that they would be caught in the crossfire between them, the inhabitants of the Contested Lands wage a war of their own for independence. Unbeknownst to them, however, their war was secretly orchestrated by Archibald Ironfist.
